ISN presents: Baking Pepernoten

On the 5th of December, we’ll celebrate Sinterklaas. And we would like to kick off the day with all of you!!!
We will be baking typical Dutch pepernoten together and share some childhood memories with you about Sinterklaas.
This recipe only takes 20 minutes, so that’s good for you to know. If you go back home for the Holidays, you now can even bring some pepernoten freshly made.

Don’t forget to do your groceries before Saturday:
• 250 g self-raising flour
• 125 g caster sugar
• 2 tsp speculaas spices
• pinch of salt
• 100 g cold butter, cubed
• 60 ml milk
Speculaas spices
• 30 g ground cinnamon
• 10 g ground nutmeg
• 5 g ground aniseed
• 10 g ground cloves
• 5 g white pepper
Vegan?: Replace the milk with oat milk (or soy milk) and replace the butter with vegan butter.
